Explore by area

Start with the neighborhood.

These building guides are a starting set, not a complete directory or live availability list. Open a guide to compare the property, then ask about the particular apartment for your dates.

Back Bay

Compare Exeter Street with the routes you use around Copley and the Prudential area.

Explore Back Bay luxury apartments.

Downtown & Chinatown

Start with the street address when comparing homes around the Financial District, Chinatown and South Station.

Seaport

Compare the waterfront setting with your actual trip to work, transit and everyday errands.

South End

Compare the rental buildings at Ink Block with Traveler Street homes. Specify the building and entrance when arranging a visit.

Fenway

Use the specific home when comparing views, outdoor space and the route to Longwood or another work address.

Dorchester & South Bay

Compare Dorchester Avenue with the South Bay setting. Test the walk to transit and your daily destinations from each address.

Allston

For Barry’s Corner, start with the home’s entrance and the places you need to reach across Allston and Cambridge.

Cambridge · a separate city

Kendall Square is a Cambridge comparison, rather than a Boston neighborhood. Check your route across the river if needed.

Have another area in mind? Tell us the neighborhood or town in your message, or browse the wider building directory.

Inside the home

Compare the unit, not just the amenities.

Luxury is a description, not a uniform package. A home with the right layout and daily route may suit you better than a longer amenity list.

Floor plan & storage

Look beyond the bedroom count. Check room dimensions, space for a desk or dining table, closets, kitchen storage and the finishes in the actual home. Model photos may show a different layout or renovation.

Light, views & outdoor space

Confirm the floor, window exposure and outlook. A private balcony or terrace belongs to a particular apartment; a shared roof deck is a different feature. Check usable space and access rules.

Laundry, utilities & comfort

Confirm whether laundry is in the apartment or shared. Ask about heating, cooling, utility inclusions, appliances and internet options. Check noise at the home and the times you expect to be there; the luxury label does not establish soundproofing or lower bills.

Access, services & shared spaces

Ask about entrance steps, elevators and the building’s actual access arrangements. Confirm concierge hours, package handling, maintenance, fitness or pool access, guest rules and any reservation or amenity charges.

Parking, bikes & getting around

Confirm whether a parking space is available, its monthly cost and whether it is assigned. Ask about bike storage and charging if needed. Test the trip to transit or work rather than relying on a neighborhood label.

Pets, furnishings & lease dates

Check pet requirements for the specific home and ask whether furnishings and your preferred lease dates can be accommodated. Start with our pet-friendly guide or furnished-apartment guide if either shapes your search.

Compare the whole lease cost.

Ask for the apartment’s current written quote and lease dates. Check whether the advertised figure is base rent, total monthly price or an average after a concession.

  • The monthly rent and any required recurring charges.
  • Utilities, internet, parking, pets and services that cost extra.
  • Move-in costs, the lease term and the terms of any rent concession.

A promotion can change the average cost without changing what is due in every month. Compare the total for the lease you would actually sign, and ask what happens when a concession ends or the lease renews.

A different kind of search?

Renting a condo or buying?

A rental apartment community and an individually owned condo can involve different terms. For an owner-offered rental, confirm that home’s lease, building move-in rules and included services. A purchase needs its own search and review of ownership costs and current condo documents.

Income-restricted housing

Income-restricted homes have program-specific income and application requirements. Ask our team about your search, and use the City’s Metrolist guidance to understand the relevant program. Our brokerage inquiry does not replace its application process.
