Boston · Boston University housing
A useful BU housing search starts with your campus destination. Tell Amo Realty - Boston City Properties where you need to go, your budget and your move date so we can help you compare rentals or a condo purchase.

In your message, include your campus building or workplace address, budget, bedrooms, intended move-in and move-out dates, and whether you want to rent or buy. Add roommates, pets, parking or other requirements that will shape the search.
Your message goes to Amo Realty - Boston City Properties. Sending an inquiry does not submit a rental application or reserve a property.
Start with the part of Commonwealth Avenue you use most. An apartment toward Kenmore and one farther toward Allston can mean different daily journeys, even when both are described as near BU. Check the door-to-door route, crossings and your access to groceries or laundry.
A Fenway destination and a Medical Campus destination in the South End call for separate route checks. Include evening or early starts in your comparison. If you split time between campuses, check both journeys before ruling a location in or out.
For each option, record bedrooms, usable work space, stairs or elevator access, laundry, utilities and the proposed lease dates. A studio, shared apartment and individually owned condo rental can offer different layouts and lease terms. Verify the features of the actual unit rather than relying on building photos.
Tell our team if you need housing for a full year, a shorter stay or dates that do not align with the academic year. Ask for written lease terms and itemized move-in and monthly costs. Confirm any application or guarantor requirements, and review a payment request before sending money.
A condo purchase needs a separate budget and timeline from an apartment lease. Discuss financing, taxes, association fees, upkeep and resale plans with our team. If future rental use matters, investigate the condominium’s leasing restrictions before committing.
