A specific building in mind?

Tell our Amo Realty / Boston City Properties team which building interests you, your budget and when you want to move. We can help you compare rental homes or connect you with our buying team.

Compare Boston-area apartments

Look beyond the building name.

Use the city, neighborhood and building guides above to narrow your apartment search. A building description is not a current vacancy list or a tenant rating. Compare the particular apartment and lease, not just the community’s advertised features.

The apartment you would rent

Ask about the exact floor plan, bedroom sizes, storage, laundry and kitchen appliances. Check which features belong to that unit: a guide’s description of views, balconies or finishes may not apply to every apartment.

The 660 Washington Street guide describes a downtown Boston rental community; the Terrace Estates guide covers a community in Peabody. Start with the correct address and municipality before comparing them.

Amenities and everyday costs

Ask whether parking, bicycle storage, fitness facilities and other shared amenities are included, separately charged or unavailable to a particular resident. Discuss pets, maintenance requests, building access and security arrangements. A long amenity list does not tell you the full cost or how the building handles a repair.

The route you would actually use

Check the entrance you would use, your route to work or school, and the errands you make regularly. Compare the walk to transit, parking arrangements and access to shops against your own schedule, rather than relying on a neighborhood name or a straight-line distance.

The lease and move-in details

Tell our rental team your move-in date, bedrooms, monthly rent budget and must-have features. Ask for the terms and charges for the apartment you are considering, including utilities, upfront payments and any brokerage services or charges, in writing. Confirm the viewing, application and key-pickup steps before making plans.

If you found an older building name, such as Royal Crest Estates in an Andover-area description, include the full address in your inquiry. We need to identify the property before discussing its current name or homes to rent.

Ask Boston City Properties about your rental search.

Our Amo Realty rental team can discuss the buildings, locations and apartment requirements you are considering. Sending an inquiry does not reserve a home or submit a rental application.
