Amo Realty - Boston City Properties
Choose a city, town or Boston neighborhood to start your townhouse search. Compare layouts, ownership costs and outdoor space, then ask Amo Realty about a home you want to buy.
Most links below open local townhouse buying guides. Boston, Cambridge, Dedham and Waltham open townhome listing searches. The directory is not a list of homes currently available in every location.
Tell Amo Realty where you want to buy, your budget, bedrooms and timing. Townhouses can offer several levels of living space and their own entrance, but the arrangement differs from property to property. Use the local links to focus on a city, town or Boston neighborhood.
Consider how stairs, bedroom placement and living areas would work for your household. Ask for the actual floor plan and usable room measurements. A photograph of a front entrance does not explain the full layout inside.
A townhouse's appearance does not tell you its ownership arrangement. Ask whether the home is part of a condominium or another association and which documents are available for review. Do not assume that owning a townhouse means having no shared expenses.
Review questions about exterior maintenance, common areas, insurance and fees for the specific property. Compare what you would maintain yourself with work handled by an association. The responsibilities should be clear before you rely on a monthly cost estimate.
Check which entrance belongs to the home and how residents access parking, storage and any shared areas. Ask whether a driveway, garage or parking space is included and what restrictions apply to it.
A patio, yard, roof deck or balcony may be private, shared or subject to rules. Ask what you would be permitted to use and maintain. Do not assume that the space shown beside a townhouse is included in the purchase.
Compare townhouses in Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Charlestown, Allston, Dorchester and other Massachusetts locations by the actual condition of the home. An architectural style is not a guarantee of quality, and the listing details need to be checked for the specific property.
For a newer development, distinguish completed features from planned features and ask what is ready to view. For an older home, bring questions about systems, repairs and alterations to the appropriate professionals. A similar neighboring home may not have the same layout or improvements.
Use a viewing to check stairs, room sizes, light, storage, entrance access and any outdoor space you expect to use. Include the property address or listing link when you ask Amo Realty about arranging a visit.
For a condo or association property, ask what documents, costs and rules can be reviewed. The brokerage inquiry does not reserve a home or guarantee showing access. Current offers and access arrangements need to be discussed for the specific property.
For a townhouse purchase, tell Amo Realty your preferred locations, budget, bedrooms and moving date. Include a listing address or link if you have one. For a townhouse rental, contact our apartment rental team instead.
The local guides explain buying considerations. The Boston, Cambridge, Dedham and Waltham links open townhome listing searches. Check the individual listing and ask our team about its current status before arranging a viewing.
On the four townhome listing pages, More Filters includes price, bedrooms and other property criteria. Save Search opens a sign-in screen. For help comparing developments or finding a rental, use the guides below or contact Amo Realty.
