The rental apartments at Ink Block
The original Ink Block rental buildings—1 Ink, 2 Ink and 3 Ink—were developed on the former Boston Herald site. The community combines apartment living with street-level retail in the South End. This guide covers the rental apartments, rather than the separately owned condominiums elsewhere in the development.
The buildings were designed with different interiors: large windows and bright living areas in 1 Ink, darker industrial-style finishes in 2 Ink, and lighter cabinetry in 3 Ink. Apartment finishes may have changed, so compare the actual home as well as the building name.
Layouts and community spaces
The current property information describes studio through three-bedroom choices, open living areas, in-home laundry and furnished options. Shared facilities include a rooftop lounge, outdoor pool, fitness center and coworking space. Whole Foods and other street-level businesses are part of the setting.

Tell our Boston team your move-in date, budget and preferred bedrooms, along with any essential parking, pet or accessibility requirements. We can help you check rental options at Ink Block Apartments.
Confirm the rent, lease length, included services and any additional charges for the particular apartment. A building feature or published floor plan does not mean a matching home is available today.
