Three Charlestown properties to compare.

Read the building guides below, then ask our team about the apartment and dates you need. These comparisons describe the properties; they are not a list of apartments currently available.

Gatehouse 75

75 West School Street

Gatehouse 75 lists one- and two-bedroom homes with in-home laundry. Shared facilities include a roof deck with grilling and dining areas, resident lounges, communal workspace and a fitness center. The operator also lists garage parking and electric-vehicle charging. Some apartments have balconies. Request the actual floor plan if you need a separate desk area, and confirm which parking and shared facilities your lease includes.

The Graphic Lofts

32 Cambridge Street

The Graphic Lofts lists apartments with in-home laundry, oversized windows and quartz countertops, with exposed brick and timber features in selected homes. Shared facilities include a roof deck, fitness and yoga rooms, a clubroom, music room, courtyards and bicycle parking. Garage parking and electric-vehicle charging are also listed. Compare the specific apartment’s room dimensions and bedroom separation; loft features and finishes are not identical throughout the property.

The Anchorage Apartments

103 Ninth Street

The Anchorage is in the Charlestown Navy Yard and advertises studio and one-bedroom homes. The current property site lists shared laundry, a fitness center, café, waterfront terrace and resident parking. Check the actual floor plan if you need room for a desk or particular furniture, and ask how you would reach the laundry room. Confirm parking arrangements, pet rules and whether the offered home has income or other housing-program requirements.

Compare rent, parking and move-in costs.

Request a written quote for the apartment, your dates and lease length. Compare rent, required monthly charges, utilities and any parking, pet or amenity charges that apply to the home.

Keep one-time move-in costs separate. If a discount is offered, ask when payments are due and what rent applies after it ends. Confirm how you would move in, including elevator reservations if needed.

Check the apartment, commute and lease.

Your route from the entrance

Check the actual walk to your train or bus stop, any transfers and the trip home. If you need a shuttle or ferry, confirm the current stops, operating days and timetable before relying on it. Test the full trip at the time you normally leave for work or campus.

Bedrooms, laundry and outdoor space

Request the floor plan and room dimensions. For a loft, confirm whether bedrooms are enclosed and how much privacy the layout gives each person. Check in-home or shared laundry and space for desks. Ask whether a balcony or patio belongs to the apartment or is a shared facility.

Parking and shared amenities

Confirm whether a parking space is available, how you reach it and its monthly cost. Ask which fitness, lounge and outdoor facilities your lease includes, with hours and any charges or reservations. For an electric vehicle, check charger access and any separate charges.

Pets, lease terms and application requirements

Confirm pet rules for the particular home, along with any furnishing or shorter-lease needs. Ask whether the apartment is market-rate or part of an income-restricted housing program, and which formal application and eligibility rules apply. A rental inquiry does not replace that application.

Also considering North Station?

The Victor by Windsor at 110 Beverly Street is in Boston’s West End, near North Station. Compare it separately if that location suits your daily trip. It is outside Charlestown, and its route to work or campus will differ from the three addresses above.
