A community-space announcement in Revere

The December 10, 2024 article reported HYM Investment Group’s announcement of The Yard @ Beachmont Square and The Dog Park @ The Yard. The Yard was identified at 10 Suffolk Downs Boulevard in Revere, beside Amaya.

The account described the spaces as intended for residents, visitors and community gatherings. This Revere address should be distinguished from the larger Suffolk Downs redevelopment, which also extends into East Boston.

Outdoor design and planned programming

Turf and stone-dust areas were described as supporting different activities, with separate dog areas for smaller and larger dogs. Receptacles and waste bags appeared in the account’s description of the planned facilities.

Music, fitness and resident programming were among the activities discussed. Those plans do not establish a current event schedule, access policy or pet rule for a particular residence.

Holiday markets and a toy drive

The article discussed two pop-up holiday tree markets with Christmas Tree For Me, including a noon-to-3 p.m. sales period and seasonal decorations. Payment methods were part of that historical event announcement, not instructions for an ongoing market.

A toy drive with the Revere Police Department was another announced activity, with new, unwrapped toys to be collected during the market. Dates and participation arrangements should be checked for any later event.

The larger Suffolk Downs plan

The account placed the public space within redevelopment of the former racecourse acquired by HYM and its investors in 2017. The wider vision combined residential, retail, office, life-science, hotel, civic and open-space uses.

Reported eventual scale included 10,000 homes, 5.2 million square feet of office and life-science space, 450,000 square feet of retail, 400,000 square feet of hotel space and more than 40 acres of open space. These were development-plan figures, not completed inventory.

Amaya and the role of shared places

The account described Amaya as the first residential building and discussed 475 units in its earlier leasing context. It also mentioned HYM’s other work, including Bulfinch Crossing, as background rather than as part of the same property.

For a housing inquiry near Suffolk Downs, tell Amo Realty - Boston City Properties whether you plan to buy or rent and which side of the site you are considering. Ask about the actual home, access, pet arrangements and shared spaces rather than assume that a historical event or development plan applies to it.
