Medford and Somerville · College housing
Tufts’ main Medford/Somerville campus is outside Boston. Its Boston Health Sciences, Boston SMFA and Grafton campuses are separate locations. Send the campus and class building before comparing housing.
Talk with our rental team
Use your message to name Tufts University, the actual campus or class address, your monthly budget, bedrooms and move-in date. If you are sharing, include how many people will live in the home.
This is an inquiry to Amo Realty - Boston City Properties, not a university housing office. It does not apply for a home, reserve an apartment or confirm university or landlord approval.
Choose the campus. Compare the home.
The original guide centered on Walnut Hill and the Medford/Somerville campus. Tufts lists 419 Boston Avenue, Medford, as the Dowling Hall visitor and parking reference. Use your class entrance for the final comparison, not the parking address alone.
For Boston Health Sciences, Boston SMFA or Grafton, provide the actual destination. A Medford apartment is not automatically nearby. Current Tufts directions identify Davis on the Red Line and Medford/Tufts on the Green Line for the main campus—not a general claim that most homes are near the Orange Line.
Campus identity and location checked October 4, 2026: Tufts campuses and visitor addresses · Tufts travel and transit guidance. These are campus references, not university endorsements of our brokerage or an apartment.
The apartment and your routine
The original page discussed South Medford, Medford Hillside and other Medford neighborhoods. Tell us which streets you would consider and compare the whole trip. Check the actual home’s stairs, room sizes and shared space; the campus’s hilltop setting does not establish an apartment’s access.
Ask for rent, lease start and end dates, utilities, recurring charges and payments due before moving in. Check the actual bedrooms, shared space and written lease requirements rather than relying on an old advertised price.
Talk with our buying team about your purchase budget, timing and intended use. Ask about condominium rules, costs and any future rental restrictions. Buying does not guarantee investment returns or a tenant after graduation.
Tell our rental team your campus address, dates, budget and must-haves. Name any nearby areas you would also consider so the search follows your needs.
