Chatham · Retail premises · Lease, buy or market
Considering Chatham retail premises for a year-round or seasonal business? Tell our commercial team whether you want to lease, buy or offer a property, and how its size, costs and opening dates need to fit your plans.
Amo Realty - Boston City Properties
This inquiry goes to our commercial team. It is not a lease application, reservation, financing approval or town permit request.
Chatham is a Cape Cod location, not a Boston neighborhood. Compare the exact premises and access rather than assuming that a coastal address suits every tourism or maritime business. Chatham’s official department directory provides planning, community-development and inspection contacts for property-specific questions.
This is a commercial-property guide, not a live list of available units. Ask our team about a specific address or your search criteria.
Compare before committing
Identify who would use your business, when they would visit and how the premises would function outside your busiest season. Compare rent or financing payments with your own monthly projections. A tourism setting does not guarantee customers, revenue or profitable trading through the winter.
For a Route 28-area or other Chatham location, inspect the actual entrance, delivery route, parking and signs. Ask about the operating hours and access your business needs. A general area description is not a traffic study or evidence that your particular use can operate there.
Review the lease term, rent changes, renewal deadlines, repair allocation and charges during any period when the business is closed. Include equipment and fit-out costs before opening. Check whether your proposed seasonal operation and any sharing of space fit the written agreement.
Include financing, taxes, insurance, maintenance and vacancies in a purchase comparison. For an existing leased property, review its actual agreements and expenses. Ownership does not remove seasonal business risk; plan how the space would be used and paid for throughout the year.
Obtain property-specific information about condition, heating, cooling, utilities, insurance and relevant flood or coastal concerns. Discuss the proposed use and alterations with the town and qualified advisers. A broad Cape Cod description does not determine an individual property’s risk or permission to build.
Describe the current use, occupancy, building and lot areas, systems, condition and timing. Say whether the offer is an existing premises, a site for possible development, a lease or a sale. Our commercial team can discuss the marketing approach without assuming an existing building will be demolished or a replacement approved.
Before you sign or start work
Discuss the property with our commercial team. Ask your attorney to review the agreement, your lender about financing and the municipality about the approvals for your business. A general location guide does not settle those property-specific questions.
Send the address or search area, business use, size, budget and timing.
