This inquiry goes to our commercial team. It is not a lease application, reservation, financing approval or municipal permit request.

Choose the location.
Inspect the premises.

Charlestown is a Boston neighborhood. Compare Main Street, City Square, Rutherford Avenue, Terminal Street, the Navy Yard or another specific address against the way staff, customers and deliveries reach the premises.

Ask our team about a specific address or your search criteria. Availability and terms need a current property-by-property check.

If your search is for land, a multifamily investment or an operating business, say so. Buying a business is not the same transaction as leasing or buying its premises.

Compare before committing

The premises.
The agreement. The costs.

Industrial space and upper-floor access

Loading, freight access, clear height, utilities and storage matter separately from office reception or customer entry. An upper-floor industrial unit needs a review of how materials reach it. A former bank, loft or other conversion needs a review of condition and the proposed use.

Private office or shared workspace

Compare interior or window offices, private suites, shared desks and hourly, daily or monthly arrangements. Check meeting rooms, security, reception, internet, parking and entry hours in the actual agreement. Earlier shared-office and shuttle descriptions are not current service guarantees.

Retail occupancy and investment

Check street-front entry, windows, signs, parking and deliveries. If buying an occupied property, review the lease and possession separately from the investment’s expenses. An old tenant lease-end date does not establish that a store is now vacant.

Development reports need a current check

The earlier guide discussed Hood Park, a Bunker Hill Street mixed-use proposal and concert-venue plans. Those historical reports do not establish present construction, approval or availability. Ask for the exact project address and current documents.

Researching an earlier property advertisement?

Our earlier Charlestown guide discussed these premises. These are historical references, not a current list of properties for sale or lease:

  • Hood Park at 500 Rutherford Avenue
  • 55 Bunker Hill Street mixed-use proposal
  • 501 Terminal Street
  • Schrafft’s Center Power House at 529 Main Street
  • 56 and 24 Roland Street
  • 24 Spice Street
  • 1 Thompson Square
  • 10 and 20 City Square
  • 32–42 Warren Street
  • 39 First Avenue
  • 287 and 271 Main Street
  • 51 Austin Street
  • 1 Monument Avenue

Send our team the address and the business use you have in mind. The old asking price, tenant, floor plan or lease term needs a current check.

Compare the full commitment

For a lease, compare the term, rent quotation and billing period, deposits, services, fit-out and additional charges. For a purchase, distinguish business occupancy from an income investment and review condition, title, existing leases, financing and continuing costs. An occupied building or extra unit does not guarantee income or immediate possession.

Before you sign or start work

Your use.
The written terms. The approvals.

Discuss the premises with our commercial team. Ask your attorney to review the agreement, your advisers about financing, costs and insurance and the municipality about the approvals for your business. A location guide does not settle those property-specific questions.

A space for your work.
A clear next step.

Send the address or search area, business use, size, budget and timing.
