Existing lab space or a conversion

Cambridge is a separate city. State whether you need to buy or lease an existing lab, or would consider a building for possible conversion. Include research activity, area, budget and occupancy timing.

East Cambridge, Alewife, Concord Avenue and Cambridge Crossing are different settings to consider. Include the area or address that would serve your operation.

Rooms, equipment and building systems

Describe the research rooms, equipment, staff areas, storage and access you need. Ask about ventilation, power, ductwork, mechanical systems and the information available about their condition.

Compare floor arrangement, ceiling and service space, foundations or structural requirements with your operation. Have the appropriate technical advisers assess the particular building and proposed equipment.

Work, costs and occupancy timing

For a conversion, identify what is installed and what would need alteration. Discuss design, condition, permissions, costs and the work sequence with the relevant professionals and authorities.

Explain which move dates are essential and where there is flexibility. Keep the premises timetable and actual funding proposals separate from earlier market forecasts or another company’s lease.

Ask the Amo commercial team

Send Amo Realty - Boston City Properties the Cambridge locations or address, research use, required area, buy-or-lease choice, budget and timing. Say whether existing build-out is essential or conversion is an option to investigate.

Ask about current premises details, availability, terms and a suitable next step. If a lease is planned, discuss the actual tenant-representation arrangements; technical and permission decisions remain property-specific.
