About Marcus Garvey Gardens

The public listing identifies Marcus Garvey Gardens as a rental property at 44 John Eliot Square, Boston, MA 02119. The manager identifies 155 one-bedroom homes and six three-bedroom homes, rather than a broad family-unit inventory.

Marcus Garvey Gardens is an operating seven-story assisted rental building at John Eliot Square. The operator explicitly says it serves eligible older adults, people with disabilities and families, but only six of its 161 homes are three-bedroom family apartments; most are one-bedrooms. A family inquiry should not be mistaken for an open family vacancy or a general-purpose market-rate offer. The property describes a courtyard, community room, on-site laundry and management; eligibility and selection remain with the administrator.
