Description

The Howe Shoe Factory houses 17 condominiums that have two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. These condos have living space that ranges from 1200 to 1600 square feet. They also come with master suites that have private bathrooms. The Howe Shoe Factory has historic significance in Marlborough, as it was once owned by Simon Herbert Howe, who also served as the city's first mayor. The building dates back to 1855 and was remodeled to become condominiums in 2010.

The building has retained its historical charm throughout the renovation process. The insides of the condos feature sturdy wooden beam ceilings, hardwood floors throughout the units, and elegant granite counters in the kitchens. The bathrooms have tiled flooring and have large bathtubs and sinks for the residents' convenience.

The renovation process included installing a durable 7500 pound elevator, as well as two stairwells that reach all three upper floors. The building also has brand new electrical wiring and plumbing, as well as HVAC, wet fire protection, fire alarms, and an intercom system for owners' security. The units share a water and sewage system. However, the other utilities are metered for each condo. Residents can park in the large private lot that sits adjacent to the building.
