Oxford’s reported Atlantic Avenue acquisition
The June 2015 article reported Oxford Properties’ $114.5 million acquisition of 745 Atlantic Avenue from Beacon Capital Partners. It described Oxford as the real estate arm of Canadian pension fund OMERS and the property as an 11-story, 174,231-square-foot office building opposite South Station.
The source said the building was fully leased at that time and identified Cambridge Consultants and WeWork as tenants. These are historical occupancy and tenant statements, not current availability or ownership information.
The Boston and Cambridge portfolio described in 2015
The article said Oxford had invested $2.1 billion in four Boston and Cambridge properties roughly six months earlier. It identified joint acquisitions with JP Morgan Asset Management of One Memorial in Cambridge, 225 Franklin Street and 60 State Street in Boston, plus Oxford’s separate purchase of 125 Summer Street for its Boston headquarters.
The source described Oxford’s Boston office footprint as exceeding 2.9 million square feet. Cambridge is a separate municipality, and the article did not fully explain the portfolio measurement’s boundary. Its prediction of intensifying foreign investment was an outlook in 2015, not evidence of today’s market direction.
