A residential proposal in Hull
A February 2021 Boston City Properties account discussed a proposed apartment development known as the Dunes at Nantasket Beach in Hull. Chris Reale’s permit application described 140 apartments in a five-story building, with one- and two-bedroom layouts, ground-floor retail, a pool and cabanas.
The article connected the proposal with Chas Buggini’s 2017 acquisition of property for a reported $2.2 million and later demolition work. Those transaction and planning details belong to the historical account, not a current listing.
The former park and the boardwalk
Paragon Park operated as a seaside amusement destination before closing in 1984. The article discussed preservation of its 1928 carousel and a later boardwalk project that opened in 2020, with seating, an outdoor stage, volleyball and retail uses.
Shipping-container shops and pandemic-era restrictions on indoor activity formed part of that boardwalk discussion. The apartment proposal was another intended use of the former amusement-park setting, not a description of the historic park still operating.
Nearby businesses and separate sites
The account mentioned restaurant operators associated with Quincy’s Pearl & Lime and Townshend Tavern, and a separate retail property at 153 Nantasket Avenue known as Berkley Place. These references supplied local context; they were not additional apartments within the Dunes proposal.
Questions about this part of Hull should distinguish beach access, the precise parcel, proposed housing and retail space, and completed facilities. Ask about the present property and project status before making a housing or business decision.
