A renewed asking price, not a sale result
The October 2017 archive described 14 Rutland Square returning to the market at $3.85 million. The approximately 4,247-square-foot townhouse had appeared in earlier listings, and the new asking price was reported as $100,000 above its 2016 listing price.
The $4 million figure used in the period coverage was a rounded description. Neither amount was a confirmed purchase price, and the account’s expectation that a buyer might emerge was not an established outcome.
The townhouse description
The property was described as dating to 1865, with four bedrooms, multiple bathrooms and a 450-bottle wine cellar. The archive discussed formal living and dining rooms, kitchen storage, a home theater and a landscaped outdoor area.
A roof deck, gym and parking also appeared in the description. A suggested room conversion did not establish permission to create an additional bedroom, and the historical features were not a current inspection report.
Other Rutland Square homes were distinct
The article compared the listing with 25 Rutland Square and an earlier 13 Rutland Square offering. Their size, features and asking-price histories belonged to separate properties.
Neighborhood sale and listing averages elsewhere in the account used different measures and periods. They did not provide a single valuation of 14 Rutland Square or guarantee a future sale. This article preserves a historical listing feature without presenting any of the homes as currently available.
