Converse at Lovejoy Wharf

In December 2015, Boston City Properties reported that Hamburg-based Union Investment Real Estate GmbH would acquire the Converse headquarters at Lovejoy Wharf. The account described a 10-story property on approximately three-quarters of an acre between the Zakim and North Washington Street bridges, including flagship retail space.

The article did not give a separate, explicit purchase price for the Converse property.

The Godfrey Hotel transaction

The account also reported a December 7 purchase of the 242-room Godfrey Hotel at 505 Washington Street in Downtown Crossing for $173.9 million. It described the two December investments as totaling $323.9 million.

The combined amount is retained as reported, without using subtraction to present an unstated Converse transaction price as a verified fact. These purchases were historical examples of overseas investment, not a forecast of current capital flows or confirmation of present ownership and tenancy.

Historical account attributed to the original Boston City Properties article. Underlying records and later outcomes have not been freshly verified.
