A proposal at the edge of the North End
The November 2020 report described a six-story boutique hotel and two restaurants proposed for a 13,363-square-foot Cross Street site between Endicott and Salem streets. The location faced the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway near Haymarket.
Fort Point Associates submitted planning material on behalf of Cross Street Ventures on November 3, 2020. This was a development proposal, not an announcement that every approval had been obtained.
A streetscape and hospitality discussion
The account linked the site with the former Maria’s Pastry Shop following its owner’s retirement. It described brick facades and a setting of lower-rise buildings, with the proposed hotel intended to contribute to the public realm along Cross Street.
The restaurants, hotel entrances and connection to nearby streets were part of the proposal’s relationship with the neighborhood. Project drawings and announced intentions should be distinguished from completed work.
Following the site rather than assuming an opening
For this property, useful follow-up questions include the exact parcel boundaries, approved use, ground-floor configuration and status of proposed construction. Earlier hospitality plans do not establish room or restaurant availability today.
For a North End commercial purchase or lease inquiry, tell Amo Realty - Boston City Properties your preferred streets, intended use, size and timing. Keep that property request separate from inquiries to a hotel or restaurant about its operations.
