A former industrial property

A December 2015 report said Charleston-based Greystar purchased approximately six acres in Watertown for $21.2 million. The site had been occupied by M.J. Pirrolli & Sons for roughly 60 years and had been marketed beginning in 2012.

The article described approved plans near Arsenal and Irving Streets for 282 apartments, approximately 10,000 square feet of retail and a half-acre park. It identified the architect only as “Team of Chelsea”; that incomplete wording is not enough to supply a firm name.

Plans versus later results

The report speculated that the apartments would be positioned as luxury housing and discussed Greystar’s then-reported management portfolio. Neither establishes the project’s later branding, current property-management relationship, amenities or availability. The acquisition and planned uses are the historical focus of this account.

Historical account attributed to the original Boston City Properties article. Underlying records and later outcomes have not been freshly verified.
