A revised apartment project
In February 2020, Boston City Properties reported that framing was expected to begin for Sedna at 10 Congress Street in Beverly. Procopio Companies had acquired the approximately 3.7-acre property in April 2019 and was proceeding with waterfront apartments near the Danvers River.
The article distinguished an older 72-unit approval from the revised 62-apartment plan. It described relatively large homes, approximately 1,200 to 1,500 square feet, and an anticipated 2020 completion period. Those were construction-era plans, not confirmation of current layouts or vacancies.
An industrial history requiring care
The property had formerly been associated with Metal Hydrides and Ventron, including uranium-processing work linked to the Manhattan Project. The account described substantial cleanup work by the Army Corps of Engineers before residential redevelopment.
That history explains why environmental work mattered to the site. It does not establish current contamination, nor does an old cleanup account substitute for present environmental records. Reported construction costs and anticipated rents likewise belong to the February 2020 story rather than a current apartment offering.
