Replacing three commercial buildings
In October 2017, the archive described a five-story condominium proposal at 457–469A West Broadway in South Boston. The plan from 463 Broadway LLC would replace three commercial buildings with a mixed-use residential building.
Michael Moore was identified in the development group. A letter of intent was part of the account; it was not equivalent to a final building permit or confirmation that construction had begun.
Homes, retail and parking in the proposal
The proposed program included 44 homes, described as 38 market-rate units and six affordable units. It also called for 48 basement parking spaces, ground-floor retail and resident amenity space.
The coverage considered how the new building would fit on the commercial corridor. Proposed residential totals, parking and commercial floor area described the submission, not completed inventory or an application for a particular affordable unit.
Nearby development was a separate project
The article referred to another proposal at 87–93 West Broadway involving the former Gulf site. Its homes and parking counts belonged to that separate development and should not be added to the 457–469A program.
Although the archive also discussed neighborhood housing costs, this article’s central project was a condominium proposal, not a rental listing. It records plans circulating in 2017 without establishing current ownership, completion, prices or permission to build.
