In addition to its numerous historic districts, the town has several green spaces that can be enjoyed recreationally. The Leominster State Forest is within the city limits, as is the Wachusett Mountain State Reservation, which includes the Wachusett Mountain Ski Area. The Mass Audubon Wachusett Meadow is also easily accessible. Snow Pond is one of the larger bodies of water in the area, and the city skirts the banks of both the Quinapoxet Reservoir and Wachusett Lake.

Those who wish to access the area via car can do so by Route 31, Route 62, and Route 140. There is no MBTA Commuter Rail line in town. Because of the sheer amount of open land, the city is made up of a trove of undeveloped parcels close to major natural scenic attractions. Office Space Market

The modest urban density of the region, combined with its proximity to natural scenery, has concentrated most of the available office space into complexes that faintly recall mountain chateaus. This is certainly the case with the property at 206 Worcester Road, which features an enormous onsite parking lot next to an L-shaped complex. This complex has two large anchor spaces on either end, both of which feature a small, charming turret on the roof. The ground floor is sheltered by a building-long collonade, which wraps around and terminates at the the second anchor space. While there are currently no listings for retail spaces in the area, this does not preclude the likelihood that listings will eventually open up in the highly coveted downtown area. The property at 23 Hubbardston Road, while not currently available for lease, features a lovely single story retail complex that is located off a sidewalk in the middle of breathtaking natural scenery. This concrete masonry building features an outdoor space for eating lunch or having coffee. An onsite parking lot, ringed by trees, provides easy access from the road. With multiple units on either end of the complex, a business with green canopies over its front display windows has a second onsite parking lot.

In a similair vein, the property at 29 Mountain Road, while also not currently available for lease, is sited in a lovely neighborhood with a sidewalk and nearby residences. With a large two story mixed-use unit on a lushly landscaped lot, the business has a small onsite parking lot in a very serene atmosphere.
