Description
Falcon Border is one of the newer Boston condo options, where there are not only stunning water views in every room of the condo, but there are enough windows so that you always have that perfect sunrise view. In addition to having some of the best views of the city from your windows, you also have access to a balcony that's an ideal place to watch a nice sunset. If the $175,000 to $260,000 price range suits your needs, come on by to see what it's like for yourself.
A big, bright living room is the perfect place to not only enjoy the views, but to listen to music or read. This room allows you to arrange your couches and chairs in a way that is ideal for entertaining. Your pass-through kitchen is next door, making it very convenient when you're serving drinks. One extra bit of convenience that will also come in handy is the included washer and dryer.
Your kitchen has modern cabinetry and generous counter space. A big closet just off the kitchen helps ensure that this area always stays neat, as you expect it to. The bathroom features wall sconce style lighting, as well as a medicine cabinet with mirror. You'll enjoy the window placement in the bedrooms, with just enough to give you excellent views while enjoying great privacy.
You will enjoy the outdoor area, which offers a park bench and a nice paved walkway. A nice wrought iron fence helps create a division between the yard and the sidewalk. The good thing about this outdoor area is that it has very few needs. It's easy to sit outside and enjoy everything, without worrying about maintaining a full yard. This building is a great option to consider if you love the full experience of a great condo.
If you’d like to purchase a condo in East Boston but are struggling to find the right thing, you should take a look at Falcon-Border condos. That’s especially true if you need affordable housing because this development was built by NOAH, or Neighborhood of Affordable Housing. Built within the last 10 years, these condos have a lot to offer, including great views of the water. A very limited number of condos is available, however, so they tend to sell quickly after hitting the market. With help from Boston City Properties, you’re far more likely to find what you need.
The Basics
Situated at the corner of Falcon and Border Streets in East Boston, this condo development is within easy walking distance of bustling Central Square. Thanks to its proximity to the Mystic and Chelsea Rivers and the Inner Harbor, the development offers stunning water views from the vast majority of its units. Constructed in 2006, these condos were a nice addition to the charming Eagle Hill neighborhood, and they were quickly snapped up. Because these condos were built by NOAH, they are also among the most affordable in this part of the city.
Amenities
Falcon-Border is not intended to be a luxury condo development. While it offers a great location and plenty of perks, it is more of a bare-bones type of building. Given how affordable these condos are, however, most people don’t expect to have the red carpet rolled out for them here. Still, the building is well-designed and was built with sustainability in mind, which is nice. Security is ample, and residents enjoy convenient parking options. Since it is fairly close to Central Square, it is close to plenty of services, including grocery stores, doctor’s offices, public transportation and fitness centers.
Condo Options and Features
With only 14 units total, this condo development doesn’t offer much in terms of variety. The condos here are newer and quite spacious, but they aren’t meant to be luxurious in nature. Many units in this building offer stunning water views, which is a great perk. Most of them have private balconies, and all of them have in-unit washers and dryers. There are also a few corner units, and these are nice because they offer varying views and tend to be more spacious.
Condos in this building are reserved for people who qualify for affordable housing. Lately, they have been selling for around $270,000. Two-bedroom units offer around 900 square feet of space, three-bedroom condos offer around 1,300 square feet and four-bedroom units offer a whopping 1,450 square feet of space.
Find a Condo Here
If you would like to call Falcon-Border home, you’re in for a bit of work. There are barely over a dozen condos in this development, so vacancies don’t tend to pop up too often. It helps enormously to be assisted by a skilled and knowledgeable local real estate agent, and Boston City Properties can refer you to one whenever you are ready. Your agent should be able to help you secure a home here or in a comparable development.
