Cohasset Apartments
The town of Cohasset is in an enclave of Norfolk County southeast of the city of Boston. The rocky shores of Massachusetts Bay border the north end of this town, which has over 7,500 residents. It's those shores that gives this area its name, which comes from a native word meaning "long rocky place". The area was settled in 1670 and became its own town in 1770. It became one of Norfolk County's two enclaves in 1803 when its neighboring towns joined Plymouth County. Today, it's a quiet community with several rental options available.
The MBTA recently completed a rail station on the western end of town that can take people to Boston's South Station on the Greenbush Line. Not far from the station is the Cohasset Golf Club, which is always looking for new applicants to enjoy a day on the course. There's also a small school district with one of the state's best high school football teams in state division VI. Many people keep their boats out on the marinas on Cohasset Cove, and during the summer, it's not unusual to see a veritable regatta on the bay. South of town, Wompatuck State Park offers plenty of activities year-round.
Although the town is smaller, there are several individual listings for rental options. People who prefer communities should consider the new Avalon Cohasset located on King Street. This 220-unit property offers one or two bedrooms options ranging in size from 1010-1663 square feet. Many rentals have vaulted ceilings, gourmet kitchens, and furniture rentals, so new tenants won't even have to worry about moving their old furniture in. The whole community is designed like a village with plenty of amenities such as a pool, a clubhouse, and an outdoor fireplace and lounge. Pets are allowed, and this luxurious rental community is just a mile away from the MBTA station.
