The town of Burlington sits on Route 128 exactly between the cities of Boston and Lowell, and it currently has a population of 24,500 people. Although the origin of the town's name is in dispute with two possible sources, all accounts agree that it was first incorporated in 1799. Three rives have their watersheds in this fine community, and all of them play important roles in this part of Massachusetts. The town is in the midst of a boom in commercial growth with new shopping centers being built on the southwest part of town, and there are plenty of homes and apartments being built for all the newcomers.
Burlington has six schools in its public school district, and students from here can also go to Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in nearby Billerica. Four MBTA bus routes go through town as do buses from the Lowell Regional Transit Authority. Interstate 95 and U.S. Highway 3 also run through this community, so it's easy for residents to get just about anywhere in eastern Massachusetts. People often travel down to Boston for work or play.
The town has plenty of leasing options, and the most economical just might be the Lord Baron Apartments on Baron Park Lane. This complex has 380 units that can be leased for either 6 or 12 months, and they range in size from small studios to spacious two-bedroom rentals. They're all cable-ready, utilities are included and kitchens are already complete. The complex also offers a swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts and a playground for children.
People looking for something more luxurious should consider the Avalon Burlington on Arboretum Way. Their smallest apartments have two bedrooms and two baths in a diverse selection of layouts. Larger spaces have three bedrooms, but all 312 units have updated kitchens and baths, individual washer/dryers, and access to the community's many amenities. Leases here can range from 3-12 months.
