Brockton Apartments

Brockton is the seventh-largest city in Massachusetts with a population of over 93,800, and it's also one of the two county seats of Plymouth County along with Plymouth. It's also known as the city of champions because of the success of local boxers Rocky Marciano and Marvin Hagler. The city was founded in 1649 when Miles Satndish bought the land from the Wampanoag and added it to Duxbury. It split off in 1821 as the town of North Bridgewater and was renamed Brockton in 1874 after British General Issac Brock, who fought in the War of 1812. This town was one of the first to be completely electrified in the 1880s and 90s. It's also the birthplace of the department store Santa, which first appeared at Edgar's Department Store in 1890.

The city is mostly urban is nature with a historical downtown that includes a Carnegie library. Other interesting places to visit include an original Edison power plant, the Brockton Fairgrounds and the Sacco & Vanzetti Museum. Over 15,000 students attend school in the city's public school district, and it's been named one of America's best communities for young people by the America's Promise Alliance four times in the past decade. The city also operates its own bus system while the MBTA operates a rail line with three stops across the town's three neighborhoods.

Besides individual apartment listings, your leasing options include Greenwoods, which is located on over 20 acres of land in the northern half of the city. This community has 320 units ranging in size from 620-1,077 square feet and offering up to three bedrooms. The larger rentals are indistinguishable from a single-family home with private entrances, separate dining rooms and lots of storage space. One small pet is allowed, but dogs are strictly forbidden.
