Blue Line

The Blue Line runs from Revere Beach at its northernmost point past Logan Airport, through Government Center, into Beacon Hill toward the West End. With this line starting at a beach community, one can work in a government building downtown by day and walk the beach near home in the evening. Housing from Revere Beach and toward Logan Airport is within nautical communities, so the ocean and seaside life tend to be a theme for area residents and their domiciles. Along the beaches are some towering waterfront properties of recent construction that offer ocean sunrise views and a relaxed lifestyle.

Other neighborhoods close to the Blue Line offer low- to mid-rise structures of four or more apartments or condos. Lofts are not so frequently seen in these areas, as more focus is on the view of water and the life enjoyed outside by locals and few pre-existing warehouse and industrial properties existed for renovation.

Beyond Logan Airport and along Boston's waterfront are many recent wharf developments of apartments, condos and townhouses. Culture of the sea and attributes of port buildings are maintained in these new structures with oceanic views. Luxury is also common in this area. Most residents here seek a fit, social and active lifestyle that the area and their apartment or condo community's amenities afford them.

In Government Center and downtown Boston served by the Blue Line, space is at a premium and little luxury need be spared. The majority of apartment and condo communities along this portion of the route are high rise and high style.
