Bellingham Apartments
Bellingham, Massachusetts is right in the middle of everything. Its location in far western Norfolk County on the border with Rhode Island means it's almost an equal distance to Boston, Worcester and Providence. People first settled here at the headwaters of the Charles River in 1713, and it became a town within six years due to its rapid growth. It's named for colonial governor Richard Bellingham and is also the home of America's first woman soldier, who fought as a man in the Revolutionary War. The town now has a population of 16,300 and is experiencing rapid growth in both commercial and residential development, so it's easy for people to find leasing options.
Although the town has no public transportation, its location on Interstate 495 means it's quite easy to get to anywhere in the region. There's also an MBTA rail service in the nearby town of Franklin. The town also has a school district with three elementary schools, a middle school and two high schools. This is a high-class community with the prestigious New England Country Club along its southern edge, and there's been an explosion of growth in the commercial sector over the last 20 years. Most of the newer shops and businesses are on the eastern edge. Residents looking for a fun day out often go to Southwick's Zoo, which is just a few minutes drive away in the neighboring town of Mendon.
Along with many excellent individual listings, renters can find a lot of options at Jefferson at Bellingham. This apartment complex offers 286 units with plenty of square footage available. Each living space has carpeted floors, a choice of one or two bedrooms, high-speed internet access, and they allow as many as two pets. The complex also has its own pool, business center and clubhouse for residents to sit back and relax after a long day.
