Bedford Apartments

The community of Bedford was first settled by John Winthrop, the first governor of Massachusetts Bay colony, back in 1637 and received incorporation in 1729. The town is the home of the Bedford flag, which was the first American flag flown during the battles of Lexington and Concord to the south. It currently sits in the town library. The Concord River runs along the town's west side, and a large part of Hanscom Air Force Base is contained in the southern end of town. Today, there are 13,300 people in this community, and leasers will find a lot of places to call home.

Apart from the town's many individual listings, a good place to find a rental is at the Village at Taylor Pond just off the Middlesex Turnpike. This 200-unit community offers short term leases ranging between 3-13 months and offers a choice of one of two bedrooms and baths for your individual needs. Several of the one-bedroom choices are designed as lofts while most other options have standard floor plans.

All of the apartments allow pets and have carpets in the living rooms and tile floors in the kitchens and bathrooms. Many of them have lovely gas fireplaces to enjoy in the winter. The complex itself has an outdoor pool, a clubhouse and a house-sitting service for those times when you're away.

This community not only offers a lot of history at landmarks like Two Brothers Rocks and Fitch's Tavern, but it also has an excellent school district with many students coming from Boston via the METCO program. Middlesex Community College is also located on the far north end. The MBTA has three bus routes that run through the town, and employment opportunities are dominated by the tech industry in this part of Middlesex County.
