Medford Office to Serve as Home Base for New Wynn Resorts Development Plans
Plans for the upcoming Wynn Resorts development along the Mystic River in Everett are starting to take shape. Wynn Resorts just opened an office in Medford to serve as home base for the proposed $1.6 billion development of a high-end luxury hotel and gaming resort. The office is located at Station Landing on Wellington Circle and boasts more than 7,600 square feet of office space. Wynn Resorts has stated that it expects the office to house upwards of 50 employees, all of whom will play a direct role in the development of the new resort.
If you haven't been following the story, here's the scoop: In January, Wynn Resorts closed on its $34 million acquisition of the old Monsanto Chemical Plant site along the Mystic River. In March, the company closed on the acquisition of 1.75 acres of what used to be MBTA land, which frees up an entranceway to the development. The resort is expected to include a 600-room luxury hotel and a sprawling gaming facility.
Even with the opening of the new Medford office, the development of the new resort is still in its very earliest stages.
