Australian Industrial Supply Company to Add 10+ Locations in Boston

Pirtek USA, an Australian company specializing in the repair and supply of hydraulic hoses, is poised to open 10 to 12 new franchise locations in metro Boston in the near future. Currently, the company has a single location in Avon. Of the more than 400 locations it has in 23 countries around the world, 52 are currently located in the United States.

Pirtek's Avon location has been in business for more than seven years. The company plans to open a second Boston location north of the city by the end of 2015. However, its ambitious plans don't stop there. Hydraulic hoses are used in countless applications, so demand on the business-to-business market is high. Now that the company has a decent toehold in the U.S. market, it plans to open one location per month in metro areas with populations of 500,000 or higher. Based on this math, anywhere from 10 to 12 should be opened in the Boston area within the next few years.

The B2B franchise model employed by Pirtek USA is helping dramatically to fuel its rapid growth and incredible success. Also, increased availability to financing is allowing the company to branch out into new markets. Like the location in Avon, the new Pirtek locations will likely be located in areas with high concentrations of industrial supply businesses. These stores average between 3,000 and 5,000 square feet in size, allowing them to fit into a variety of settings.
