Abington Apartments
The town of Abington is a thriving community in southeastern Massachusetts with a population of just under 16,000. The town was named by Governor Joseph Dudley in 1706 in honor of the Countess of Abington, who helped secure the appointment of the colonial governor into his post. On the town's west side, Ames-Nowell State Park and Beaver Brook greet all comers to the town. The Shumatuscacant River also runs along the eastern side of this community. It may be quiet, but that doesn't means there aren't any properties to rent or lease for those who are moving in. Not only are there plenty of colonial homes, some of which date back to the Victorian era, but there are plenty of apartments of all types.
Apart from the town's many individual listings, the Avana Abington complex is one any newcomer should consider. This 180-unit complex offers large one or two-bedroom rentals that fit anyone's needs, and all of them come with black granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom, stainless steel kitchen appliances, and even cable and high-speed internet. Some of the units even have sundecks, and the complex also has a swimming pool, a fitness center that comes free with rent, a playground for kids, and reserved parking spaces.
Abington schools are run by the Abington School District, and Abington High School is considered to have one of the best athletic programs in the region with the school's teams winning several state championships in recent years. Abington also has a stop on the MBTA's Plymouth-Kingston line, and it's only 25 minutes on the rails up to Boston. The town hosts a local farmers market during the summer months, and the town has plenty of excellent restaurants to choose from. People looking for more excitement will find plenty of options in neighboring Brockton.
