Weymouth Land for Sale
Weymouth was initially a fishing village and farming town. It later became known for its shoe manufacturing. Unlike most New England towns, there are four village centers instead of one central downtown square. It has many recreation areas including Webb Memorial State Park and Pond Meadow Park. Most of this town is already built-up, however there are a few plots remaining and additional plans for growth.

Types of Properties
Even though finding vacant plots might seem easy, it is more complicated than just finding the size you want. Location, use and timing are several key factors to consider before you buy. Vacant lots and acreage have an enormous potential for profit and are now a standard way to diversify an investment portfolio. Having the right partner, like Boston City Properties, to guide you through the process is very important.
Building a home to rent or live in is one of the more common approaches people take. The house can be used as a family home and sold at a later date. Or, the home can be rented long or short term. Multi-family homes are also a good investment. Many choose to rent one floor while living in another or rent out the whole building to different tenants.
Single- and multi-family homes are not the only investment types that can produce positive cash flow. Office buildings, retail shops, community services and other business need rental buildings too. The hospitality sector, like hotels, can be a strategic route to take depending on location. Apartment complexes were more strictly controlled in the Greater Boston Metro area until recently. While many restrictions still apply, the demand for housing in and around Boston is so high that more and more apartment complexes are popping up.
Whether it is a private residence or a commercial lease, there is the potential for short-term and long-term profits. As a homeowner, you are not throwing your money away on rent, and the home will usually appreciate over time. Similarly, for investors, you can see monthly profits plus the additional profit when you sell on the building after some years.
There are many other potential uses of vacant plots including, renting them to farmers, creating a tiny house community or having a community garden. Some plots can even be sold for billboards or to comply with open space planning requirements.
All that being said, using the right realtor is crucial when deciding when and where to buy vacant parcels. Boston City Properties can help you navigate this process. We are open seven days a week and available until 11 pm. We have an extensive online database with hundreds of possible plots. Plus, we update our listings daily.
