Within this area, a surprising number of new developments have been underway. From a new Marriott Residence Inn to new townhouses, this area has received an influx in property investments. One of the largest projects is the Arsenal Yards development. Expected to cost $400 million in total, this new development will also include a hotel.

At 321 Arsenal Street, an old bank branch is getting a makeover. It is currently being transformed into a 2,800-square-foot restaurant. This restaurant will also be equipped with a 4,500-square-foot patio. At 480 Arsenal Street, the former building was divided into 185,000 square feet of office space with new landscaping.

Residential properties are also in development right now. At 192 Pleasant Street, developers are creating seven townhouses. These units include 2,400 square feet of space and luxury finishes. Unlike other townhomes on the marketplace, these luxury units retail for $900,000 and up. Another residential property can be found at 200 Waltham Street. This new building includes 155 units and is placed on 11.6 acres. Residents can rent one-bedroom to three-bedroom layouts.

One of the larger rental complexes can be found at 202 to 204 Arsenal Street. Also called 58 Irving Street, this complex includes about 300 apartment homes. It also includes more than 37,000 square feet of commercial space for retailers and a grocery store.

Two hotels are currently in development in the area. While the one at 80 Elm Street will have 100 rooms, the Marriott Residence Inn will have 148 rooms. The Marriott Residence Inn spans six stories in height and is placed at the new Arsenal Mall location.

For high-end office space, residents can check out 65 Grove Street. Previously used by GE Ionics, this space will includes a parking garage and new offices. Meanwhile, newer rental complexes can be found at the Riverbend on the Charles and the Elan. At the Elan, the development will include 300 apartments and 14,000 square feet of commercial space.

The Arsenal Yards development is by far the largest mixed-use project in the area. Estimated to cost $400 million, this property will include restaurants, retail space, apartments and a hotel. Placed at the site of the former Arsenal Mall, this project will include a Hampton Inn with 145 rooms. Retail spaces will be on the first floor. To accommodate shoppers and residents, the complex will include an adjacent parking garage. In total, this property will have 350,00 square feet of entertainment and retail space. There will also be 500 apartments added to the site.
