History of Seal Harbor

The luxury condominiums of Seal Harbor sit on the historic site of the former Fort Heath military fort. Built in 1898, Fort Heath served as a United States seacoast military base for the defense of Boston and Winthrop Harbors. In addition, the facility functioned as a United States Coast Guard radio station in the 1930s, a Navy research facility, a World War II battery and a Cold War radar station before seeing new life as a luxury condominium complex.
