Salem MA Townhomes
Buying
Fresh materials, vibrant decor schemes, and unparalleled views and access to local restaurants, boutiques, and businesses: these are the typical amenities of a townhome in this community. The housing stock here is varied, with some units dating back to the turn of the century, and other units having been constructed only within the last year. Generally speaking, a unit here can be bought for $160 a square foot. This gives buyers an excellent array of options when choosing the home in which they would ideally like to live. Those individuals who want to see the best possible choices currently on the market should contact us for representation. We can not only help suggest excellent local properties, but also put each buyer in touch with agents and brokers who are familiar with new parcels that have yet to officially hit the market.

High ceilings and comfortable interiors are common here, with an emphasis on individual climate control for each space. The ceiling fan is ubiquitous, often showing up in the direct center of the kitchen ceiling, as well as over each primary bedroom area. The fans tend to have multiple settings that are activated with the pull of a metallic string, shifting from a low, breezy sweep to a high energy pummeling of the surrounding air. Depending on the sophistication of the fan, the light switch may have dimmer options that make it possible to illuminate the surroundings in many different shades, from a high level of illumination to a more relaxing, dimmer setting.
In addition to the primary living space, many units have a finished basement with hardwood floors and drop tile ceilings that provide excellent acoustic dampening. Triple pane windows create a cozy warmth in the winter and a cool escape in the summer. The basement itself is often partially covered with wood paneling, and has several built-in cabinets that can be used as bookcases, display for art objects, or as a secondary recreation space. Some residents prefer to make this area into a kind of wet bar, with a fireplace in the corner, the wooden bar along the side, and several plush furnishings arrayed to create a dynamic and engaging region for social conversation.
Selling
The good news for sellers in this area is that listings rarely remain on the market for longer than a few weeks. However, even though buyers are excited to live in this area, it’s still important to get the best possible offers before agreeing to a purchase price. Happily, we can assist sellers by putting them in touch with qualified buyers who are genuinely excited to buy their property.
We do this by conducting extensive surveys of each of our clients. We try to understand not only what they are seeking, but the specific features they would most like to acquire. Whether it’s a skylight in the shower, an extensively furnished basement, or a roomy central living space that allows them to relax while having a fire in the fireplace, we strive to match like-minded sellers and buyers. We also ask questions about what sorts of nearby amenities would be of the most value to our clients, including natural features like the beach or woods.
We also assist with creating opportunities for viewings that emphasize an intimate and personal tour, as opposed to a large open house where each potential buyer must fight for their own space. We believe that creating a personal connection ultimately results in much higher offering prices, and makes the process much faster and ultimately more successful for everyone involved.
