The classic residences of this type tend to be two stories in height, with a front entryway that is accessed by a series of concrete steps or a stairway. The interiors are roomy, with large L-shaped kitchens and creative use of tile flooring. Most of the units have their own fireplace, which is traditionally located in the living room. The fireplace provides a genuine brick hearth and a mantle on which to place ornamental objects or photographs. However, most of the units do not rely solely on the fireplace for heat; baseboard heating, linked to central air, is traditionally installed in these units.

In the multi-story homes, a central staircase is usually placed along one wall of the complex. This staircase often has a wooden banister, and can either have varnished wood treads or be encased in carpet. The bedrooms are traditionally carpeted, although hardwood floors can be found in many units of this type. Ample walk-in closets are usually part of the master bedroom, and the guest bedrooms typically have a small storage space within the unit. The garage is often attached, and can double as storage space.

How to List Property

How does one see a home through a visitor’s eyes? Selling property in Mansfield requires that the homeowner understand how a property will appear to someone who has never visited it before, a task that is difficult only because sellers are usually so familiar with their own properties. Luckily, we offer an objective and helpful service that allows homeowners to not only be able to name the attributes of their property, but showcase those attributes to a serious buyer. By contacting us, sellers can expedite the process of finding a suitable buyer.

The beauty of this town, with its cozy village streets and abundant natural scenic outposts, makes it instantly desirable. The quality of the air, the proximity of shops, and the vibrancy of the community make almost any property within the city limits valuable. The key for sellers is to clearly accentuate what distinguishes their property from others on the market. How many bedrooms does it have? Can any of these rooms be converted into an office or other space? Does it have any special features, such as a mezzanine or loft space? How many square feet does it contain, and when was it was originally built? What types of renovations, if any, have been undertaken within its walls?

By creating a list of the property’s attributes and special features, as well as creating a brief photographic tour that gives a buyer a glimpse into the beauty of the home, sellers will be able to quickly find a qualified buyer for their property.

The Great Woods Conservation Area is located within the city limits, and surrounds a portion of Interstate 495, which passes through in a north/south direction. Interstate 95 cuts through the northwestern edge of the city, and Route 106 passes through the east. The Maple Park Conservation Area is located in the northeastern section of the area, while in East Mansfield the Canoe River Greenbelt and the Marie Streese Conservation Area make up a series of campgrounds and recreation areas.

The city has two distinct centers; Mansfield Center, which is the primary business district and village in its own right and has an MBTA Commuter Rail line stop running through it, and East Mansfield, which is dominated by natural scenery. The village is made up of numerous three and four story brick buildings built around 1900, with wide sidewalks, street lamps, and statuary of various historical figures scattered throughout.
