Whether a buyer is seeking a large open lot that is surrounded by natural woodlands, or a more urban parcel that nestles against local businesses and restaurants, our team can quickly identify the properties that suit each buyer the best. We also are able to offer a matching service for finding stations with convenience stores that have a sizable footprint and can therefore sell a large number of goods per day.
Many of the stations here also have a service component for automobiles. A mechanic or staff of trained professionals may be on hand to help motorists with their engine problems. In many cases, the motorists live nearby, and have selected the station based on its excellent local reputation. In other cases, a traveler may come upon the station after experiencing a tire blowout or other unavoidable automotive problem while driving along the interstate. In each case, having a fully staffed and functional facility will make everyone’s lives much easier.
Leasing
Those who are considering leasing in this region, especially if they pick a gas station with a convenience store, will be entering one of the most vibrant sectors of the local retail market. Unlike almost any other business, fueling stops tend to be a reliable source of revenue regardless of the current economic climate. Many operators of these types of businesses make sure to diversify their business slightly so that they have residential customers who visit the store to buy accessories like gum or shoelaces or bottled water as well as long term travelers who stock up on temporary goods and snacks.
Finding the ideal balance is partly an art, and partly a science. Customers want to know that certain basic staples will always be present in the store, but they also want the occasional surprise brand or item. This keeps them coming back to see what new things have been added to the inventory. Many items are always going to be popular, including candy, caffeinated beverages, and snack foods like potato chips or pretzels. But this can be changed to suit a seasonal trend or occasion.
In the summer months, for example, it is not a bad idea to start selling swimsuits and sunglasses, just as in the winter stocking up on hats, jackets, and socks will likely meet the needs of the overall clientele. No matter what the season, varying the items will probably help to sell more products overall. Having a small section dedicated to basic medical supplies is also recommended. Gauze wrap, band aids, and toothbrushes will always find a market.
