Its picturesque scenery is one out of 1800’s novel with its large forest growth consisting of pine, oak, maple and cedar trees and wildflowers flourish. The main river in Holden is the Quinnepoxet. It is divided into three separate divisions, one being North Quinnepoxet River, formed by streams distributing from Quinnepoxet Pond and Muscopauge Pond in Rutland.
