Foxborough Condos

Foxborough, also known as Foxboro, is a town in Norfolk County 22 miles southwest of Boston. It is well known for Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots and its neighbor Patriots Place, which was built in 2009, and is an outdoor entertainment and shopping multiplex. The town is situated at the intersection of I-95 and I-495, so daily commuters have easy access to the city. In August 2017, MBTA decided to operate a full-time rail service from the Gillette Stadium platform to South Station in Boston by way of the Fairmount Line for an 11 months trial period.

The town has many conservation areas. The Harold B. Clark Town Forest is great for leashed dog walking, hiking, horse trails and mountain biking. At Neponset Reservoir there is a fishing tournament held every year and many consider this to be one of the best lakes for boating, kayaking and spotting wildlife.

For entertainment, there is a Cinema De Lux with bar, restaurant and lounge and also a regional theatre for the performing arts, which provides many cultural events. For weekend live music, drop by one of the bars or pubs serving beers, wines and good food.

Because of the sports connection with the town, buying, selling and renting property is thriving. The cost of renting varies on the home size and the facilities offered. Some may be rented furnished or unfurnished. To rent a 1,000 sq. ft, two bedroom, one bathroom home with a modern kitchen and bathroom, near downtown, with heat, hot water, landscaping, snow removal and other services all included in the rent, will cost around $1,650 per month. To rent a luxurious 3,000 sq. ft. home, set in a landscaped garden with three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, with water, laundry space and all residents’ benefits, will cost $3,000 per month.

Many condos for sale in the area resemble one level, single-family homes. Expect to pay $385,000 for a well maintained, 1,525 sq. ft., two bedroom, two bathroom home located in the suburbs. Or consider a 1,750 sq. ft. two bedroom, two bathroom townhouse with a finished basement, suitable for a home office or games room, and close to the town center, for around $310,000. For discerning buyers, luxury homes with five bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms, two of them en-suite, chef-style kitchens and three decks might cost as much as 1.2 million.

New construction in the town is flourishing. A new, four bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2100 sq. ft. unit with a back yard comprising of woodland and lakes, costs around $500,000. For being just a stone’s throw away from Boston, property prices in this town are amazing. The exterior architecture is pure New England with wrap-around front porches and dormer windows and a portico entrance. Interiors feature hardwood floors, large eat-in kitchens with stunning, “white” cabinetry, cathedral ceilings with beams and Georgian paned windows.

The majority of homes have designated parking spaces, visitor parking, garages and decks, balconies or patios. Home Owner Association (HOA) fees will depend on the resources offered. Developments which include exterior property maintenance, Master insurance and landscaping acreage along with many other services, will be much higher. Several associations have recreational amenities like a swimming pool, racquetball, fitness center, snow removal and pet restrictions. Consider all these factors when buying or renting a condo.

Foxborough has a healthy real estate market and homes in this vicinity usually sell quickly; some are listed for only a few days before they are snatched up. Professional people no longer want a busy city life, so moving to a town within an easy commutable distance is very appealing. They have the chance to spend more evenings and weekends with their families in quiet, peaceful surroundings.

Whether your choice of location is near the town center, in the suburbs or in the countryside, your local realtor is the person to organize the viewing of properties that are for sale. Should you want to sell your home, a realtor can have it photographed and listed the same day, maybe even under contract or under offer. A realtor knows the up to date situation in the housing market and is the only professional who can assist you whether you are renting, buying or selling a property.
