Dorchester Neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts

Compared to all of the other neighborhoods within the city of Boston, Dorchester is the largest neighborhood in the city. In the past, Dorchester was the first place that immigrants from Cape Verde, Ireland and Vietnam would arrive and live. The neighborhood of Dorchester covers six square miles with Boston. This neighborhood has a lot of shops and ethnic restaurants to choose from, and it is the home of Franklin Park. For anyone who wishes to live near a beautiful park, this is definitely the neighborhood for them. Within Franklin Park, there is a beautiful 18-hole golf course, a zoo, and a variety of beautiful walking paths that can be a good day of fun for anyone. Due to the type of neighborhood Dorchester is, it is a wonderful place for people who own pets and enjoy being able to walk with them.

If one is need of commuting to a different part of the city, living in Dorchester makes this commute easy with accessible public transportation like the MBTA Red line, and the four different rapid transit stations that run throughout it. For anyone that works in the medical field, this can be a wonderful neighborhood to live in, because Carney Hospital is within Dorchester, and it provides a lot of the medical jobs within the city of Boston, Massachusetts.

Baker Chocolate Factory Apartments is a beautiful and historic looking apartment building. It is rather unique even in a city filled with unique architecture. Back in 1806, the Baker Chocolate Factory Apartment building was the site of the first successful chocolate mill within America. Tenants of this building can choose between three different sized apartments, and those three apartment sizes are studio apartments with 1 bathroom, 1 bedroom apartments with 1 bathroom, and 2 bedroom apartments with 1 bathroom. Most apartments have private entrances, dishwashers, elevators, and controlled access. Tenants can even make use of a free fitness center. This apartment building does allow both cats and dogs, but there are a few restrictions and stipulations to doing so. First, they do have a few restrictions on the breeds of dogs that are allowed, and they have to either be spayed or neutered. The management also does not approve any animal that is not at least a year old.
