Geographical Information

This city is composed of nine villages, including East, South and North Billerica, Riverside, Nutting Lake, Riverdale, Pinehurst, River Pines, and Rio Vista. Approximately 20 miles from downtown Boston, this community is bordered by the town of Lowell to the north, Burlington to the south, Chelmsford to the west, and Wilmington to the east. It’s also conveniently located along Route 3, and also is crossed by Route 129 and Route 3A. The commuter train can be caught at the North Billerica station, and travels along the Lowell Line. The Concord River winds through the city from north to south, but it is not the only source of natural wonder in the area. The Billerica State Forest, the McDonald Knowles, the Warren Manning State Park, the Bicknell Town Forest, and the Shaloo Meadow Forest all provide opportunities for relaxation in nature.
