Those who want more details about pricing, availability, and square footage of stations in this town should contact Boston City Properties for the latest information. We can provide price quotes, tours, and in many cases same-day viewing appointments of selected properties. We are familiar with different types of stations, as well. We understand that some owners are seeking a parcel that also has a convenience store, and can also provide details on the accoutrements that come with each shop.
Leasing
For many travelers, the delights of a convenience store next to a gas fueling pump are inestimable. After hours spent on the road, drivers relish being able to refresh themselves, refuel their vehicle, and perhaps buy a few snacks or beverages before heading back out on the road. This doubles for residents, who often rely on a local store for various staples and other necessities. Individuals who choose to lease here will be tapping into a reliable market.
The properties here tend to be set in idyllic locales surrounded by trees and a relatively low density in terms of population per acre. A sign listing gas prices is located near the front entrance of the property, which is often surrounded by a wood fence. The station itself has ample room for cars of different sizes, although in some areas the structures are not large enough to accommodate a truck used for freight or other large scale shipping operations.
The store itself is often set back from the principal fueling area, and is built out of brick or stone. It typically has a wood shaker style roof, and a series of large front windows that are used for advertising of local goods. Inside, the store is brightly lit, and usually has a tile or linoleum floor. Numerous refrigerated cases with extensive interior lighting provide space for the display of goods, from bottled water to ice cream to ready made sandwiches.
Other stores prefer to position a series of vending machines near the air and water dispensers, which are traditionally located apart from the primary fueling area. These vending machines often dispense large packs of ice, although in many cases they sell commercial soft drinks or snacks. Several of these places are located in residential neighborhoods off relatively highly frequented main arteries, and serve as a kind of local market. In these cases, specialized goods may be stocked that are not found in other national locations.
Geographical Location
Located approximately 30 miles from Boston to the northwest, this city is neighbors with the towns of Maynard to the south, Boxborough to the west, Concord to the east, and Carlisle to the north. The town is also very close to Interstate 495, which has a connecting junction at Route 2. Route 2 passes directly through the city, as does Route 111, Route 27, and Route 2A. Route 27 provides access to several of the city’s green spaces, including the Nashoba Brook Reservoir, the Acton Arboretum, and the Great Hill Recreation Area. The Pratts Brook Conservation Area can be reached via High Street, which intersects with Route 27. Meanwhile, Route 2A passes over several streams and near other recreational areas, including Will’s Hole. The town also shares a border with Lake Nagog, which can be seen from Route 2A.
